Letting Loose Our Artistic Side With Deutsche Börse Group

Letting Loose our Artistic Side with Deutsche Börse Group

Letting Loose our Artistic Side with Deutsche Borse GroupOn 9 June 2017, 20 over staff from Deutsche Börse Group (DBG) organised an event for our beneficiaries from APSN Centre for Adults. Held at the Visual Arts Centre, the event was aimed at creating awareness on intellectually disability in Singapore among the working population. Our beneficiaries, alongside volunteers from DBG, had their hands on making clay figurines and designing cards using watercolour paint.

Creativity and imagination unleashed; joy and serenity found.

It was certainly a therapeutic session as beneficiaries and volunteers engaged in the various art and craft activities. Throughout the event, volunteers enthusiastically interacted with our beneficiaries. The feedback gathered was positive and encouraging. Volunteers shared how the event had provided them with the opportunity to interact more closely with persons with special needs.

At the end of the event, our beneficiaries were thrilled to bring back home their clay figurines and cards that they have made with their volunteers. It was a wonderful experience for both beneficiaries and volunteers. APSN would like to thank DBG for their immense effort and time put into planning the event, as well as the Visual Arts Centre for conducting the activities. This event would not have been possible without their participation and support.
